Program Officer – Methane

The CVF-V20 seeks a Program Officer to coordinate delivery of its initiative, “Pulling the Methane Emergency Brake: CVF-V20 as a Platform for Climate Prosperity, Health, and Near-Term Climate Stabilization.” Representing 74 climate-vulnerable countries and some 1.7 billion people, the CVF-V20 is building a catalytic platform to position methane mitigation as a core economic, fiscal, and public-health priority, and to strengthen country-led capacity to translate it into investment-ready action. Working in the Secretariat’s science office, the Program Officer will support Member States in embedding methane, air quality, and health co-benefits into policy, political engagement, and investment strategies, and will help align methane action with fiscal stability and Climate Prosperity Plans (CPPs). The initiative complements the Global Methane Hub’s sectoral and city-level investments by addressing political economy, institutional capacity, and collective sovereign leadership.

Program Officer – Climate Emergency and Climate Intervention Governance

The CVF-V20 seeks a Program Officer to lead delivery of its Climate Emergency and SRM program under the science and health work stream of the Climate Vulnerable Forum. The Program Officer will keep the 74 CVF-V20 member states informed on the evolving science of 1.5°C and the climate emergency, build technical and policy literacy on climate intervention options, including solar radiation management (SRM), marine cloud brightening (MCB), and sea-level-rise interventions, establish institutional mechanisms for informed deliberation on climate intervention governance, and strengthen Global South representation in emerging international discussions. Invitation to Submit Expression of Interest: CVF-V20 Technical Advisory of Services-PCRIC

The CVF-V20 seeks the services of a competent firm or individual to provide technical advisory services. The successful candidate will be required to provide technical advisory support, including, but not limited to, the following: Conducting a diagnostic risk assessment on the feasibility of PCRIC becoming a reinsurer, including regulatory requirements, capital adequacy, risk appetite, operational and governance readiness; Providing advisory support to the PCRIC Board and Management on the pros and cons of a domestic reinsurance facility; Examining the business model of PCRIC, supporting the embedding of a reinsurance window as part of their overall product offerings, and assisting with the set-up of this instrument; Supporting PCRIC in discussions with regulators regarding the requirements of this new business window and assisting in fulfilling all regulatory requirements. This will involve drafting the regulatory submission and directly engaging with the regulators; and Coordinating with PCRIC to organize a workshop with relevant stakeholders to launch this initiative.
