OBJECTIVE
The member states of CVF and V20 have developed Climate Prosperity Plans and strategies, with ambitious economic and financial resilience strategies designed to attract investment and resources that accelerate the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals, the 30 by 30 target of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, and to keep average global temperatures within the 1.5°C safety threshold of the Paris Agreement. In order to meet the goals of the prosperity plans, the CVF-V20 Secretariat aims to expand its executive leadership with the aim of capital mobilization, long-term capacity building of CVF-V20 member states for robust pipeline development, mobilizing capital at favorable financing conditions from international development banks as well as private sources of capital, and building long-term practice and innovation exchange for capital mobilization for CVF member states.
To lead these objectives, CVF-V20 has established a new position of the Chief Prosperity Officer (CPO). The CPO is an executive leader of the CVF-V20 Secretariat and works in close partnership with the CEO of the CVF-V20 Secretariat under the guidance of the Board and political leadership of CVF V20. The CPO leads the conversion of Climate Prosperity Plan strategies/investment platforms and DFI Compact commitments into closed transactions, builds the in-house team for origination and structuring, and creates business advisory through innovative partnerships with overseas C-suite executives—eventually displacing the model of external intermediation. The CPO reports to the CEO of the CVF-V20 Secretariat.
SCOPE OF WORK
This position requires a seasoned, proactive, and entrepreneurial leader with deep, management-level experience. Key functions of the CPO are: (1) Capital Mobilization for Climate Prosperity; (2) Strategic Financial Advisory to CVF-V20 member states; and (3) Fundraising and cost recovery for the CVF-V20 Secretariat.
1. Capital Mobilisation for Climate Prosperity
The CPO is the principal officer accountable for capital mobilization for Climate Prosperity Plans (CPPs) and delivery of the V20–DFI Compact and/or any programs to be developed. They will establish a world-class practice and innovation exchange for capital mobilization through development of a V20 Deal Team and the Business Executive Services Program.

The CPO acts as a top-tier executive advisor to CVF member States finance ministries and regulatory bodies for their political engagements through the CVF-v20 and inter-member country collaboration on CPP, guiding them as needed to harmonise their policies and ecosystems for successful capital mobilisation at scale including through establishment of innovative partnership structures with non-member States and private sector. 3. Fundraising and cost recovery for CVF-V20 Secretariat
CPO will collaborate closely with the CEO of the CVF-V20 Secretariat for fund raising for the effective functioning of the CVF-V20 Secretariat across all functions mentioned above. It is expected that over the course of 5 years, the V-20 deal team will work on cost-recovery principles. Key functions will include:
