DECLARATIONS AND COMMUNIQUÉS

The CVF and its V20 Finance Ministers have, for more than a decade, been advocates for financial reform and its evolution, and part of the process driving solutions for development and the elimination of poverty. From the first calls for climate risk-pooling mechanisms in Lima in 2015, through to the Accra-Marrakech Agenda on making debt work for climate and building a shock-proof financial system, the group has consistently pressed the international financial system to recognize and respond to the realities of planetary instability.

The timeline below traces that journey, showing how the CVF-V20’s core priorities have evolved over time while remaining remarkably consistent. It identifies when each major theme first appeared in V20 Ministerial Communiqués and CVF Leaders’ Declarations, illustrating the group’s sustained leadership over the years.
