CVF YOUTH FELLOWS

The Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) Youth Fellowship Program is a capacity-building and immersion program aimed at empowering young leaders (ages 18 to 35) in CVF-V20 member countries to become the next generation of climate negotiators and champions.

The CVF Youth Fellowship Program is one of the CVF-V20 Secretariat’s main avenues to bolster the voice of the climate vulnerable, advocate for reforms, and push for long-term solutions towards climate resilience and prosperity.

Launched in 2024 in partnership with The Climate Reality Project Philippines,  the first cohort of CVF Youth Fellows from 14 countries (Bangladesh, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Ghana, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Madagascar, Malawi, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Yemen, and Uganda) participated in COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, championing the CVF-V20’s agenda and amplifying the voices of vulnerable communities in official negotiations and side events.

Their engagement continues in 2025, now joined by new fellows from Dominica and Haiti, with a strengthened focus on deepening their understanding of the nexus between climate, development, and finance in the lead-up to COP30.
