Associate, Latin America Regional Office
The Associate will primarily focus on coordination and engagement with CVF-V20 members and partners within their respective region. The Associate will support coordination and implementation of various initiatives as it relates to Climate Prosperity Plans, financial protection & vertical funds, and international financial reform and trade. The Associate will also provide technical and administrative support to various programs on fellowships, parliaments, communications, advocacies, and arts & culture. There is also a strong focus on the execution of Climate Prosperity Plans (CPPs).

Regional Director, Latin America
The Regional Director will primarily focus on coordination and engagement with CVF-V20 members and partners within their respective region. The Regional Director will also be responsible for the coordination and implementation of various initiatives as it relates to Climate Prosperity Plans, financial protection & vertical funds, and international financial reform and trade. The Regional Director will also provide technical and administrative support to various programs on fellowships, parliaments, communications, advocacies, and arts & culture. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Introduction The CVF-V20 is an international intergovernmental organization of countries most threatened by climate change. It is currently composed of 74 member states from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Pacific, representing 1.74 billion people worldwide. Headquartered in Ghana, the mandate of the CVF-V20 is to support member countries to build climate resilience and to turn their vulnerability into prosperity. The work of the CVF-V20 Secretariat requires significant travel in supporting member countries and potential member countries in the development of climate resilience strategies. The CVF-V20 Secretariat, therefore, requires the services of a proven and professionally run travel management service provider to provide professional travel services at very efficient and highly competitive rates that will ensure value for money to the Secretariat and our Donors/financial partners. The travel services requested will not be limited to its headquarters in Ghana but will extend to other locations worldwide based on the CVF-V20’s needs. The successful service provider is expected to provide general travel services, including the following: Ticketing: negotiation of flight plans, with a focus on obtaining the best rates for the CVF-V20; Quotations, reservations, and provision of air and rail tickets; Hotels: negotiating and proposing hotel quotes and making hotel reservations; In the event of cancellation, ticketing, or hotel reservations, the Travel agency should have the ability to ensure minimal costs/penalties to the organization; Immigration: information on entry conditions and alerts to any restrictions imposed by the various countries of destination; Visa management services; and Consulting: precise monitoring of expenditure and production of annual statistics. V20 Funding Program Committee
BACKGROUND The V20 Funding Program Committee will be established to operationalize the US$5.35-million V20 Funding Programme supported by the Global Environmental Facility (GEF). The Programme will directly support a range of innovative adaptation interventions such as community infrastructure and livelihood asset repair, climate resilient reconstruction and rehabilitation for communities most recently impacted by extreme weather events to build climate adaptive standards. The Committee will have the following mandate: Approve the V20 Funding Program Annual Plan Provide overall guidance, oversee and ensure that the goals of the V20 Funding Program are aligned with those of the V20 Ensure a just, appropriate, and equitable distribution of resources to meet the V20 Funding Program objectives Approve the selection of projects to receive financing from the V20 Funding Program The membership to the Committee will be renewed on an annual basis to ensure equal participation from different countries of the CVF-V20. WHO CAN APPLY? Government officials of CVF-V20 Member Countries who demonstrate the following understanding and experience: Fundamental understanding of climate change: The candidate should possess a strong grasp of the science behind climate change, its current and future impacts, particularly concerning loss and damage in vulnerable regions. This includes knowledge of extreme weather events, slow-onset processes (like sea-level rise and desertification), and their economic and non-economic consequences. Relevant experience in climate change adaptation and mitigation: While the focus is on Loss and Damage, understanding the interplay with adaptation and mitigation strategies is vital. The candidate should know how these different approaches relate and influence the effectiveness of addressing loss and damage. Familiarity with international climate change negotiations and frameworks: Experience with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Paris Agreement, and recent discussions on Loss and Damage is highly valuable.
