The Climate Vulnerable Forum and Vulnerable 20 (CVF-V20) is an international intergovernmental organization of countries most threatened by climate change. It is currently composed of 70 member states from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, Middle East and the Pacific, representing 1.74 billion people worldwide. The mandate of the CVF-V20 is to support member countries to build climate resilience and to turn their vulnerability into prosperity. The CVF-V20 achieves this mandate through helping member countries to pursue development positive climate action through climate prosperity driven partnerships and cooperation. In accordance with the V20 Ministerial Communique of 16th April 2023 and 24th July 2023, an independent Secretariat headed by a Secretary-General has been established with its headquarters in Accra, to support and advance the work of the CVF-V20. The Secretariat is funded through donations by public and private donor organizations and member states.
The CVF-V20 is inviting competent and qualified Auditing Firms to submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the provision of External Auditor services for a two-year period beginning with the 2024 financial year. The selected firm will be responsible for conducting the annual financial audit in accordance with internationally accepted and applicable auditing standards. Audits must be completed by the end of March of each financial year.
Scope of Work
- Conducting an independent audit of CVF-V20’s financial statements for each fiscal year;
- Reviewing internal controls and compliance with applicable financial regulations and donor requirements.
- Providing recommendations for improving financial management and risk mitigation.
- Issuing an audit opinion in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
- Presentation of audit findings and recommendations to the Secretary-General and the Executive Council.
Evaluation Criteria
Qualified Firms are required to meet the following criteria:
- Should be licensed and registered to practise in Ghana and in good standing
- Submission of Company Profile and relevant statutory documents. (Incorporation, Tax certificates, Social Security and other statutory documents)
- 10 years of experience in conducting Audit assignments
- Evidence of audit assignments conducted for international organizations and NGOs
- Evidence of professional certification in the field of accounting/auditing and membership of Accounting professional Body for key staff
- Submission of the last three years audited financial accounts.
- Evidence of relevant skills among key staff or team.
Selection Method
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultant Qualification Selection (CQS) method.
